The BIRGDOG satellite signal locator communicates with the satellites digital transmissions with "Unique Satellite Information Data" (USID). While most pointing devices only give you a general idea that there are indeed satellites in the sky and allow you to peak the signal, the BIRDOG takes you one step further by positively identifying the satellite.
The BIRDOG finds and identifies satellites with Digital Data Stream identifier (DDSI). Easily identify all 2 way Broadband Satellites like Directway and Starband. You select satellite from the menu, move your dish until the BIRDOG says "Found". Indicates raw signal level and digital data error rates at the same time for best dish alignment and cross polarity adjustment. Comes with Computer cord, AC charger, auto charger and carry case. Internal battery powers the LNB.
This new version of the Birdog features twice the memory for satellite locations (can store 64 satellites), USB port, more battery life (over 2 hours) and easy to read display with digitally enhanced graphics. Easily identify the 2 way Broadband Satellites like Direcway and Starband.

Complete installations faster and more profitably with the Birdog satellite signal meter! The Birdog satellite meter has set a new standard in satellite signal level meters. Digital Data Stream Identification (DDSI) allows Installers to identify the correct satellite at the dish; no more running back and forth from the receiver to check which satellite you are on. Birdog's operation is a breeze, simply select the satellite you are looking for on the Birdogs backlit LCD Display; once you are pointed at the correct satellite, the Birdog satellite meter displays "FOUND."
